On Sunday, October 21, we began. Our young people offered their gifts of voice, leadership and art to bring together a wonderful day of worship. Youth Sunday is this weekend. The months of hard work by our youth will come to fruition. We will pray and sing praises. It will be a thin place.
“Helping Dallas feed those individuals who are experiencing homelessness is an honor,” says Brenda Snitzer, executive director of the Stewpot. “We aim to provide support for as many of those individuals as possible, and a large part of that support is meal assistance.”
“A hush fell over the room as six-foot-ten former NBA player Derrick Battie ducked to walk through the door. “Can I get everyone’s attention,” said a self-driven high school sophomore as she stood at the front of the room, the other kids finishing the last of the pizza.”
