Written by the Reverend Woody Brown
Now thank we all our God
with heart and hands and voices
who wondrous things hast done
in whom this world rejoices.
My Dear Friends,
Over the years, I have learned the importance of saying “thank you” and being grateful. I have grown to appreciate and love First Presbyterian Church of Dallas. As a congregation you welcomed my leadership and service. You opened your lives and hearts to my family and me. Regularly, you encouraged and supported my efforts. In worship, you responded to my sermons with engaging comments and you even laughed at my jokes. You gave me the great privilege and honor of walking with you during your life events. Together, we celebrated and together we cried.
First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, you truly are A Heart for the City. For this great church, for the members and visitors, I am truly and deeply grateful.
As the church begins a new chapter under the pastoral leadership of the Reverend Amos Disasa, I am so very excited and supportive. This is a great day in the church’s life. With all my heart, I believe the future is bright. I look forward to watching FPC be vital, vibrant and significant in the years to come.
As the Scriptures remind us, “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy.”
Jennifer, Russell and Parker join me in offering our most heartfelt “Thank you and may God bless you.”
