Registration is limited to 20 people and can be made by emailing The class will meet every Thursday beginning October 4 and ending November 8 at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas. There is no cost for the class except for the book ($20).

About the Book

Rather than being a “how to” book or guidebook, the book asks us to “reframe aging as a passage of discovery and engagement, not decline and inaction.”  With essays and poems, the book looks at this passage through seven themes: The View from the Brink; Young and Old; Getting Real; Work and Vocation; Keep Reaching Out; Keep Reaching In; and Over the Edge. The book offers powerful insights for all those who are processing, questioning, or grappling with these topics—regardless of where, chronologically, they are in their own journey. Learn more at
