New Leadership Team at FPC Day School

Today is the beginning of an exciting new era at the First Presbyterian Day School. We are extremely pleased to introduce our new leadership team: Executive Director Farrai Smith and Assistant Director Emily Hill. Together, Farrai and Emily offer a wealth of talents and experience that we believe will take our already respected day school to new and exciting heights.

Meet the Team

Prior to joining the PCPB Day School, Farrai was the Director of Center Operations for Child-Care Group where she supervised directors of six childcare centers serving 600 children. Her previous professional positions include Education Director for Head Start of Greater Dallas where she oversaw the day-to-day activities of 14 childcare centers, and Director of the Wesley-Rankin Child Development Center, a mission the Methodist Church in west Dallas.

Prior to her most recent position, Emily managed the operations, internal and external communications, accounting, website, content development and marketing for The Tolson Group, which provides individuals, churches and organizations with Biblical teaching, training and resources.

Upon graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in communications and a minor in education, Emily worked for six years in the commercial real estate industry with the Staubach Co. and its successor Jones Lang LaSalle, as well as Transwestern.

When Emily left the real estate profession, she joined Rainbow Days, a local nonprofit that works with at-risk and homeless children, as their Resource Development and Events Coordinator. Emily has also served as a teacher’s assistant at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Preschool.

Emily grew up in Dallas and attended Good Shepherd Episcopal School and Ursuline Academy. She is married to Jason Hill; they have a daughter who currently attends First Presbyterian Day School and a golden retriever named Addie.
