In Memoriam

The Reverend Dr. Blair Monie
May 6, 1948 – October 30, 2018

United in Christ, as sons and daughters of the Resurrection,
we pause to the glory of God and in memory of Blair Monie.
In the face of death, we turn for solace and support to the Word Eternal,
knowing that God will not leave us comfortless.
“I am the Resurrection and the Life, says the Lord.
Those who believe in me, even though they die,
they will live, and whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die.
In hope and in thanksgiving for Blair’s life well lived,
let us give thanks to God.”

My Dear Friends,
The church lost one of our great servants Tuesday. The Reverend Dr. Blair Monie finished his race with pancreatic cancer. Early on Tuesday morning, he entered life eternal.
Blair was the retired pastor of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. He was on the faculty at Austin Theological Seminary. He served on the Board of Trustees at Princeton Theological Seminary. He was very involved in the city of Dallas and the state of Texas. His impact in people’s lives is immeasurable. He was a friend of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas. He was my friend and valued colleague.
Please keep his wife Cyndy, their family, and their dear friends in your prayers. When memorial arrangements are made known, we will communicate this to the congregation.
May God help us celebrate the life of Blair Monie, a true saint in the church of Jesus Christ.

Interim Pastor
